About
Dr. Jessica (Jess) Hebert, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research focus is on the long-term effects of rhabdomyolysis and recovered acute kidney injury (AKI) on later reproductive and pregnancy outcomes, and how parental AKI affects offspring health. She is an OCTRI KL2 scholar, teacher, speaker, and award-winning presenter.Outside her scientific work, Dr. Hebert is an active public science communicator including as a Science Communication Fellow at Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. She also makes original songs about science, fandoms, and feelings with her nerdy pop-folk band The PDX Broadsides, where she sings and plays keys.
